A Kryptonian dog with powers similar to Superman, Krypto the Superdog's greatest ability is bringing people comfort when they need it most, even Superboy-Prime. The Dog of Steel always seems to know which member of the family needs him most and rushes to them faster than a speeding bullet. Over the years, Krypto has acted as a trusty companion to Superman, Superboy, and most recently Supergirl. While he isn't the only Kryptonian animal that plays hero, Krypto is the only one who is on active duty these days. Kong would be even more powerful if he spent more time in the field getting experience but as a member of the Justice League of China, he only works to protect his native country.

Created by Project Cadmus by combing Superman's Kryptonian DNA with Lex Luthor's human DNA, Conner Kent escaped from the lab he was born in shortly after Superman perished in his fight with Doomsday. While he isn't as physically strong as Superman or the other superpowered members of the Superman Family, Conner does have the power of Tactile Telekinesis, which gives him the telekinetic ability to be as strong as the rest of the clan.

Sadly, because Conner didn't naturally grow into his powers under a yellow sun, he does not have the same ability to store the yellow sun radiation as Superman, which means that he could burn out his powers if he pushes himself too far.

The son of Superman and Lois Lane, Jon Kent dreamed of getting powers like his dad's but wasn't ready for the journey it would take him on. Not long after gaining his powers, Jon found himself whisked away on an intergalactic summer vacation with his grandfather Jor-El. During those travels, Jon was pulled into Earth-3 where he was trapped for five years. When he returned to Earth-Prime, Jon found that while he had aged from 12 to 17, for everyone else it had only been two weeks. Not long after that, Jon found himself traveling to the future to work with the Legion of Super-Heroes. Finally back home and in his early 20s, Jon now finds himself in the position of taking up the mantle of his father and becoming the new Superman.

3 Supergirl Was The First Member Of The Family

The first time Superman learned that he wasn't the last Kryptonian was when his cousin Kara Zor-El arrived on Earth. While Supergirl arrived on Earth in her teens, she quickly gained the same powers as he famous cousin and joined him in protecting the world.

Still, a part of Supergirl often feels like an outsider in the Superman Family. She is old enough to remember life on Krypton, and while Earth is her home now, she sometimes feels like she doesn't quite belong. This has led to Supergirl spending more time off-world than the other members of the family. Luckily, Krypto has been there to keep the Girl of Steel company on her adventures.

The Earth-2 counterpart of Supergirl, Power Girl found herself on Earth-Prime after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths. FOr a time, her true origins were shrouded in mystery, and he even believed she was Atlantean for a brief period, but now she knows that she is a true Kryptonian.

But unlike the other Kryptonians, Power Girl is not harmed by Kryptonite because the Kryptonite on Earth-Prime does not have the same chemical makeup of the Kryptonite from Earth-2. This gives Power Girl an advantage that the rest of the Superman Family doesn't have.

1 Superman Is The First And The Best

While some of the other members of the Superman Family may have abilities he doesn't, none of them are on the level of the Man of Steel himself. Superman's strength seems to only be limited by his use of it. If he wished to, the most loved hero in the DC Universe could conquer the universe singlehandedly. Thankfully, Superman only wants to use his powers to make the galaxy a better place for everyone, working to improve the lives of those who are not as lucky as he is. With his calm demeanor, his sense of right and wrong, and his belief in humanity, Superman's greatest power is the ability to give others hope for a better tomorrow.
