This year's Arrowverse crossover is so monumental that Superman will join the fray across all three of the crossover's episodes.

Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his role as Superman for this December's crossover between The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl which will also introduce longtime paramour Lois Lane into the DCTV shared universe. Hoechlin first portrayed the Man of Steel in the Season 2 premiere of Supergirl, appearing sporadically for the remainder of the second season.

The CW first made waves when the networked announced in May that the Arrowverse's annual crossover uniting the various DCTV series would feature the debut of Batwoman and Gotham City this year. Last month, Ruby Rose (The Meg) was cast as the Gotham-based superhero with the network quietly planning a possible spinoff series for the character.

With the stakes higher than ever for the eagerly anticipated crossover, the return of the Last Son of Krypton can only mean one thing: This looks like a job for Superman.
