Ian Bohen has joined the cast of Superman & Lois for the DC television series' upcoming second season.

Per Deadline, Bohen will appear in Superman & Lois Season 2 as Lt. Mitch Anderson, the "new sheriff in town" at the DOD. According to Deadline, Anderson's worldview "divides into two types -- those you serve and those who serve you. He doesn't like that Superman exists outside that paradigm and tries to bring the Man of Steel under his authority officially." At this time, it's unclear if Bohen's character is in any way related to the DC Comics superhero Mitch Anderson, aka Outburst.

With Bohen's casting, Superman & Lois Season 2 will feature something of a Teen Wolf reunion. On MTV's Teen Wolf series -- which is currently headed for a revival in the form of a Paramount+ original film -- Cohen portrayed the character of Peter Hale, the main antagonist of Season 1 and uncle to Tyler Hoechlin's Derek Hale. Hoechlin, of course, plays the Man of Steel himself on Superman & Lois, having first donned the blue tights for the Arrowverse's "Elseworlds" crossover event.

In addition to Teen Wolf's Peter Hale, some of Bohen's other roles include Ryan on Yellowstone, Edwin Stillwell on Chicago P.D., Carson Wills in Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Evan in Wind River and Freddy in Little Women. Superman & Lois technically isn't even Bohen's first DC project, with the actor having made a minor appearance as an unnamed police officer in the 2012 film The Dark Knight Rises.

Starring Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the titular Superman and Lois Lane, respectively, Superman & Lois premiered on The CW earlier this year on Feb. 23. Hoechlin and Tulloch reprise their roles from both "Elseworlds" and "Crisis on Infinite Earths." The spinoff series also stars Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wolé Parks as The Stranger (aka John Henry Irons), Adam Rayner as Morgan Edge, Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing.

Superman & Lois wrapped up its first season with Episode 15, "Last Sons of Krypton," on Aug. 17. The show had already received an early Season 2 renewal back in March. Superman & Lois Season 2 does not currently have an official premiere date, though it is expected to arrive on The CW sometime in early 2022.
