A classic character from the Superman comics may be coming back to the Arrowverse, as the script for the pilot episode of Superman & Lois allegedly features the return of Morgan Edge.

According to a synopsis for the script provided by Primetimer, Edge will become the new owner of the Daily Planet, a move that will cost Superman’s alter ego Clark Kent his job via downsizing. However, the synopsis also points out Edge couldn’t care less about real journalism, much less facts.

Edge was last seen as a recurring antagonist in the third season of Supergirl, played by actor Adrian Pasdar. In his debut episode, "Girl of Steel," Edge -- who oversaw a post-Daxamaite invasion rebuilding of National City -- attempted to have the mercenary Bloodsport destroy the city's waterfront ghetto as part of a plan to build high-rise buildings in its place. Edge also tried to buy CatCo just so he could use it to make himself look good while also smearing his enemies. Unfortunately for Edge, he was thwarted on that front by Lena Luthor.

Edge would continue to be a threat, even trying to poison Lena at one point, before he was arrested along with Lena's wicked mother Lillian -- who sought to kill Edge after his attempt on Lena's life. It's currently unknown if this is the same character, or a completely new version.
