Every good non-superpowered hero needs top-shelf weapons and vehicles; it looks like Mechad Brooks' James Olsen has both.
Not only is James Olsen getting a brand new superhero identity, the "Supergirl" co-star is also set to receive exactly what every up-and-coming vigilante needs: a sweet ride, and some hi-tech weaponry.
New photos from the Nov. 14 episode, "Changing," feature actor Mehcad Brooks in his Guardian gear, astride a motorcycle with his (presumably) state of the art shield in hand.
Introduced in 1942 by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon, Guardian resembled their earlier creation Captain America in that he possessed no superpowers and instead relied upon an indestructible shield. The characters alter ego was originally Jim Harper, a police officer who was tired of seeing criminals evade justice.
THE GUARDIAN DEBUTS IN NATIONAL CITY -- The Guardian debuts to lend a hand after a parasite alien drains Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) of her power. Mon-El (Chris Wood) considers a less than desirable new career which then leads him to contemplate his motives. Alex (Chyler Leigh) struggles with a new reality. Andrew Kreisberg and Caitlin Parris wrote the script based on the story by Greg Beranti. The episode was directed by Larry Teng (#206). Original Airdate 11/14/2016.
Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott and features appearances by Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant as well as Tyler Hoechlin's Superman.
