A new variant cover for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1 puts the spotlight on Kara Zor-El's mysterious new ally Ruthye.

Writer Tom King shared the cover on Twitter, which features art by Gary Frank. "Incredible alt cover for Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow #1 by @1moreGaryFrank," King wrote. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will feature Kara searching for purpose in her life after years of being defined only as Superman's cousin. This will lead to Supergirl being approached by Ruthye, who seeks the Girl of Steel's help in finding vengeance against the beings who destroyed her world. Supergirl will travel into space with Ruthye and Krypto for a "journey that will shake them to their very core," according to the official solicitation for the first issue. The series will launch as part of DC's Infinite Frontier initiative.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1 by Tom King, Bilquis Evely and Mat Lopes goes on sale June 15 from DC.
