Supergirl Will Team-Up With Her New Rival in New Episode Synopsis

Season 5 of Supergirl has already seen tumultuous changes for both aspects of Kara Danvers' dual life, leading to an unlikely alliance in an upcoming episode.

The CW has released the official episode synopsis for the upcoming episode "Dangerous Liaisons," which has Kara forced to team up with William Dey. William was introduced in the Season 5 premiere as a loyal employee of new CatCo owner Andrea Roja and tasked with investigating Supergirl. Meanwhile, Alex Danvers and her girlfriend Kelly Olsen -- James Olsen's sister -- celebrate an anniversary only for Alex to face a rocky turn of events.

SUPERGIRL“Dangerous Liaisons”— (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

A NEW DANGER ARISES – On the eve of the worldwide launch of Andrea Rojas’s (Julie Gonzalo) VR contact lenses, Kara (Melissa Benoist) and William (Staz Nair) team up on an investigation that exposes a terrorist plot. Kelly (Azie Tesfai) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) celebrate an anniversary, but Alex’s safety is in jeopardy. Alysse Leite-Rogers directed the episode written by Rob Wright & Daniel Beaty (#505). Original airdate 11/3/2019.

Kelly was introduced towards the end of Season 4, quickly entering a romantic relationship with Alex shortly after arriving in National City. Meanwhile, as Kara's friendship with Lena Luthor deteriorated, Lena suddenly sold her controlling interest in CatCo to Andrea, shocking Kara and James with the change in ownership, leading to increased tension at Kara's day job.

Airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.
