With the premiere of Supergirl Season 5 now just under a month away, The CW has released a new poster highlighting the DC television series' key characters.The poster, which was shared to the official Supergirl Twitter page, naturally sees Melissa Benoist's Kara Zor-El taking center stage, proudly sporting her all-new Supergirl suit. Surrounding the Girl of Steel are such characters as Nicole Maines' Dreamer, Mehcad Brooks' James Olsen, Chyler Leigh's Alex Danvers, Jesse Rath's Brainiac 5, David Harewood's Martian Manhunter, Katie McGrath's Lena Luthor and Azie Tesfai's Kelly Olsen.
The poster's overall aesthetic is one that is sure to evoke memories of a certain Fortress of Solitude, complete with an immaculate House of El insignia looming in the background. That being said, given all the characters present, it appears solitude is something Supergirl and company don't have much interest in. This is underscored by the poster's tagline, which reads, "United we stand."
Returning Sunday, Oct. 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.
