Supergirl fans will have to wait a little longer to see the Girl of Steel's return.

The CW announced a new Season 5 return date for the Arrowverse series. Originally slated for April 26, Supergirl's return has been pushed back by a week to Sunday, May 3. It will retain its 9 pm ET/PT time slot. The rest of The CW's return schedule was unaffected.

Supergirl's fellow Arrowverse series The Flash and DC's Legends of Tomorrow will still return on Tuesday, April 21 at 8 pm and 9 pm ET/PT. Batwoman will also keep its original April 26 return date, as planned. Prior to the coronavirus hiatus, each Arrowverse series was due to release about six or seven more episodes.

The CW began to suspend production on these series in early March, starting when a crew member on the Riverdale set was exposed to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The Flash followed suit just days later, with Batwoman and Supergirl announcing their suspension later that afternoon. Legends of Tomorrow, however, had already wrapped filming at this point, and executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently revealed post-production on the series was unaffected by the pandemic.

Returning Sunday, May 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.
