Supergirl is getting some new friends, a new villain and... a new suit?

During this Saturday's Comic-Con International in San Diego, The CW debuted the first trailer for the upcoming Season 4 of Supergirl. While the trailer did contain a lot of footage from previous seasons, it did offer some new material, including the debut of Sam Witwer's Agent Liberty, who is poised to be the first new villain Kara will have to contend with this year.

On top of that, the trailer showcased all the returning characters from the series, from Martian Manhunter and Jimmy Olsen to Lena Luthor. But perhaps the most intriguing moment comes at the close of the trailer, when we witness the debut of a new armored suit for Supergirl. The suit contains a mask, and a light-up chest emblem that makes it instantly stand apart.

Is this Kara Zor-El in the suit, or could it be someone else? After all, there is another, evil version of Supergirl somewhere out in the wilds of Siberia. Or, barring that, could we be witnessing the debut of all new character like the DC Comics character Superwoman? We'll just have to wait and see.
