With a whole host of Kryptonian superheroes joining "Crisis on Infinite Earths" to save the DCTV Multiverse, one of the crossover event's more awkward moments saw Earth-38's Supergirl meet Kingdom Come Superman.

A new behind-the-scenes featurette released by The CW reveals the meeting between the two characters, which leads to a case of mistaken identity as longtime Arrowverse star Brandon Routh portrays both the alternate universe Man of Steel and the size-changing superhero Ray Palmer, aka the Atom. Seeing Routh's Clark Kent in his civilian clothes, Kara mistakes him for Ray, complimenting him on his more muscular physique, before her Earth-38 Clark Kent -- portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin -- points out he is her cousin from another Earth.

Moments like these provide fun breaks in the tension, as an antimatter wave threatens to consume the entire Multiverse, with only the assembled heroes of the Arrowverse -- no matter whom the actor -- able to stop its spread.

"Crisis on Infinite Earths" continues on The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. After the winter hiatus, the crossover will conclude on Tuesday, Jan. 14 in Arrow at 8 p.m. ET/PT and in DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
