Supergirl Promises Big Revelation for S5 Character

The Season 5 premiere of Supergirl has set the stage for epic betrayals between longtime friends and allies, and the intrigue looks only to escalate in an upcoming episode.

The CW has released the official synopsis for the fifth season's fourth episode, titled "In Plain Sight," that has Kara Danvers investigating William Dey, the new CatCo employee who has been tasked with launching his own investigation into the Girl of Steel. As the tension mounts, Kara learns there is more to William than she had originally anticipated.

SAYING GOODBYE IS HARD TO DO. - Kara's (Melissa Benoist) investigation into William Dey's (Staz Nair) "criminal" activities results in the shocking revelation he is not who she thinks. Meanwhile, the conflict between Malefic and J'onn J'onzz (David Harewood) reaches a boiling point. David McWhirter directed the episode written by Jay Faerber & Jess Kardos (#504). William was introduced in the Season 5 premiere as the loyal associate to new CatCo owner Andrea Rojas (Julie Gonzalo), who acquired the company from a secretly vengeful Lena Luthor.

While Kara and the rest of her co-workers adjust to the sudden change in ownership, J'onn J'onzz has been faced with the surprise arrival of his long-lost brother Malefic in National City.
