"Supergirl" brought a significant ratings bump to the CW with its hotly anticipated premiere episode.
According to TVLine, "Supergirl's" Season 2 premiere clocked in with 3 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 demo rating -- up triple digits from last year's show in the slot, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." The high ratings solidify "Supergirl" as the most-watched Monday night show on the CW since a 2008 episode of "Gossip Girl," with the best 18-49 rating since a 2010 episode of "90210."
While "Supergirl's" ratings are pretty impressive for the CW, the show of course fared much better on CBS, as the Season 1 finale drew in a whopping 6.1 million viewers and 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott and features appearances by Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant as well as Tyler Hoechlin's Superman.
