Supergirl is bringing back a familiar face for Season 6. Thomas Patrick Lennon will reprise his role as Mr. Mxyzptlk sometime during the final season.

The actor teased his return in a video posted to TikTok and shared via Instagram. In it, Lennon faces the camera and slowly pans it upwards, revealing his strangely-styled haircut and a sign bearing his character's name, all while "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)" by Lil Nas X plays over it. "It's happening. You won't be ready. @supergirlcw," the caption reads.

True to the comics, Supergirl's Mr. Mxyzptlk is a being of the Fifth Dimension with power over reality itself, who loves nothing more than to come down Earth and be a nuisance to whichever hero is nearby (usually Superman). He made his debut in the show's second season, where he was played by Peter Gadiot and dueled Mon-El for Supergirl's hand in marriage. Mxyzptlk returned in the show's landmark 100th episode, now played by Lennon and acting as a mentor figure, helping the Girl of Steel reevaluate her complicated relationship with Lena Luthor.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Nicole Maines as Dreamer, Jesse Rath as Brainiac-5, Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olsen, Julie Gonzalo as Andrea Rojas and Staz Nair as William Dey. New episodes premiere Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
