A series of new Supergirl images reveal more faces returning to Season 6, as well as one evil Nazi doppelgänger.

The photos, posted on Twitter by Canadagraphs, feature a variety of allies, adversaries and even stunt double's for characters from previous Supergirl seasons. These include 5th-dimensional villain Nyxlygsptlnz (i.e. Nyxly) teaming up with Jon Cryer's Lex Luthor while wearing a similar energy gauntlet, Helen Slater's Eliza Danvers brandishing a shotgun and stand-ins for Supergirl and Mon-El doing a fist bump, hinting more at Chris Woods' return. Also present is a masked Overgirl, Supergirl's evil counterpart from the 2017 crossover event Crisis on Earth-X who invaded the main Arrowverse timeline and, in the process, disrupted Barry Allen and Iris West's wedding.

As revealed in Crisis on Earth-X, Overgirl hails from a parallel dimension where the Nazis won World War II and trained several metahumans and costumed individuals to serve as the Reich's weapons. However, with Overgirl suffering from solar irradiation, she and her partner Dark Archer (i.e. Nazi Oliver Queen) sought out another version of Kara so that they could perform a heart transplant at the expense of Supergirl's life. The Arrowverse crossover's final episode saw the two Kryptonians do battle until Overgirl's irradiation began to consume her, forcing Supergirl to fly Overgirl into the atmosphere before she exploded so no one would get caught in the blast.

While it's unknown how Overgirl will come back, Supergirl star Melissa Benoist confirmed that the show's finale will see the return of not only Mon-El but Jeremy Jordan's Winn Scott and Mechad Brooks' James Olsen. Winn left the show at the end of Season 3 to travel through space alongside Mon-El, while James departed in Season 5 to run his hometown paper, with his sister Kelly (Azie Tesfai), taking over as a season regular and National City's new Guardian.

Cryer's Lex Luthor was last seen in Season 6's third episode when his sister Lena stepped down from LuthorCorp, and his reintroduction to Supergirl will also set up a twisted romance between Lex and Nyxly. The show's current arc sees Supergirl and her Superfriends race Nyxly to locate seven 5th dimensional stone-totems that made up the All Stone, a reality-warping object which Nyxly desires for revenge purposes.

New episodes from the final season of Supergirl air on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
