DC antihero/supervillain Manchester Black makes his live-action debut in photos from the Nov. 4 episode of Supergirl.

The images depict David Ajala (Doctor Who, The Dark Knight) as Manchester Black, alongside series veteran David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz, aka Martian Manhunter.

Ajala was announced as Manchester Black in July at Comic-Con International. He debuts in the fourth episode of the season, "Ahimsa," in which J'onn questions his decision to quit the DEO. However, after encountering Manchester Black, he realizes there are other ways to help his fellow aliens.

Created by writer Joe Kelly and artist Doug Mahnke, in the comics Manchester Black is an irresponsible antihero turned villain, Manchester led a team known as The Elite dispensing lethal force in the name of justice putting them on a collision course with Superman. The character and storyline was previously adapted in 2012's animated film Superman vs. The Elite, in which he was voiced by Robin Atkin Downes.

Airing Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW , Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.
