Lois Lane might be headed to Supergirl's National City. An audition tape, which surfaced on Vimeo, appears to show an actor trying out for the role.

Per OmegaUnderground, the video opens with actor Sarah Ceballos saying that she will "be reading for the role of Lois Lane." She then engages in an interview where she plays the part of Lois, who answers a few questions about her relationship with Superman. She also recalls what it was like to meet Supergirl and how the Girl of Steel acts as a role model for young women.

It is unclear if or when an actor will be announced in the part of Lois Lane for The CW series, as no official announcement has been made about the character's debut.

Though Lois has not yet appeared on Supergirl, her presence has been felt over the years. Season 1 introduced her younger sister Lucy (Jenna Dewan Tatum), who struggled to forge her own identity outside of Lois' shadow. Lois' father General Sam Lane also appeared throughout Season 1, serving an antagonist for Kara and the DEO. James Olsen, who used to work alongside her at the Daily Planet, has also mentioned her on occasion.

When Tyler Hoechlin's Superman was introduced in Season 2, he frequently refereed to her and even took a phone call from her, but she never turned up in person. However, if this audition is any indication, that may be about to change. Since DC was willing to lend Superman to The CW series, it makes sense that Lois isn't very far behind.

Lois Lane has appeared on screen several times throughout the years. Noel Neill played the character opposite Kirk Alyn's Superman in the 1940s and 50s. Margot Kidder picked up the mantle in 1978's Superman film and its three sequels, while Kate Bosworth featured in Superman Returns and Amy Adams became the DC Extended Universe's Lois Lane for Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Teri Hatcher and Erica Durance played Lois in Lois & Clark and Smallville respectfully. Supergirl's Lois Lane, whoever she may be, will join these ranks.

Airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, with appearances by Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
