Did you enjoy Kevin Smith's "Supergirl Lives"? After years of bouncing a "Superman" script around Hollywood, Smith has finally found his place telling Kryptonian stories -- only it ended up being tales of the Girl of Steel and not her cousin. After some speculation that Kevin Smith would be returning to direct "The Flash", the man once known as Silent Bob revealed on his Instagram that he is in fact returning to the director's chair of "Supergirl."

In one post, the director holds up a hockey jersey emblazoned with a Superman 'S,' and a trademark goofy look on his face. The post raves about Daxamite technology, so it looks like Smith's episode will be resolving the ongoing mystery of Mon-El and the aliens who would see him captured.

The other post has Smith teaming up with none other than Wonder Woman herself, Lynda Carter! It seems Smith's casual style is contagious; Carter is determined to outdo him in goofiness! Lynda Carter played Wonder Woman on TV while Smith was growing up, so for him this is very much a dream come true. This is not the first appearance Carter has made on a DC CW show. This season has seen Carter taking up none other than the mantle of President of the United States, and the seal on the wall behind the two of them confirms that she is returning to reprise the role.

When Kara Zor-El marveled at Air Force One in an earlier episode, Lynda Carter's president slyly remarked that Supergirl should see her other Jet, implying that it is perhaps invisible. That sort of fan-service has gone over well in all of Carter's appearances, and one can imagine that with Smith at the helm of an episode, the references will be coming fast.

Starring Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, “Supergirl” airs Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, Ian Gomez’s Snapper Carr and features appearances by Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman.
