While Supergirl may have concluded with its sixth and final season in November, longtime Arrowverse her Alex Danvers returned in the crossover event "Armageddon," with actor Chyler Leigh hoping for her own spinoff series with her onscreen spouse Kelly Olsen.
While speaking with CBR about her guest-starring appearances on The Flash as Alex/Sentinel, Leigh revealed she's willing to return in a heartbeat after the "Armageddon" crossover in more than just a guest-starring role. In fact, Leigh would love for her and co-star Azie Tesfai to headline an Arrowverse spinoff, with Kelly joining Sentinel in her superhero role as Guardian along with their onscreen daughter Esme as they continue to protect the world as a happy family.
"I would do it all over again and I'm still rooting for a Kelly and Alex spinoff. I don't know, I'm just saying rooting for it... You didn't see Kelly and Alex ride off into the sunset but hop onto their bikes to go save other people, Esme would love that. I'd love to throw that around and get that trending," Leigh explained. "I would honestly really do it in a heartbeat. I love Alex and everything that I got to build with her and how I grew as a person and the love that I have for my family is love that I was able to embody through her. I'd absolutely love to put that suit back on."
The Supergirl series finale saw Alex and Kelly marry in front of their friends and family, with J'onn J'onzz officiating the wedding. Earlier in the season, the happy couple adopted a Dryalian girl named Esme, helping their extraterrestrial daughter master her incredible abilities while welcoming her into their growing family. With Alex still defending the Arrowverse and helping Team Flash throughout "Armageddon" with the intimidating antagonist Despero, there is plenty of room for Leigh to reprise her role as Sentinel in the future, with her spouse and daughter by her side.
Chyler Leigh and the further adventures of Alex Danvers can be seen during the "Armageddon" crossover event on The Flash, airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
