Things may have just gone from bad to worse for Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) when Supergirl returns on air in April as a new casting may have just revealed the identity of yet another Worldkiller.
This season, Supergirl has had to content with Reign (Odette Annabel) and Purity (Krys Marshall), and now the casting of Angela Zhou as National City's lead surgeon (named either Dr. Grace Parker or Grace Park according to rumors) has theorists believing her to be a third Worldkiller known as Pestilence.
This would be quite an ironic twist for someone in the medical field, especially as Zhou's character (who isn't from the comics) would have a history of saving lives. In the show, these warriors have acted as agents of destruction, with a sleeper-cell mentality, and who quickly lose their humanity when they're triggered into villain-mode.
As Kara struggles to salvage what's left of their human personas, she'll also have a lot more on her plate when this season resumes, given that the Legion of Super-Heroes have now entered the fray with obscure intentions, as directed by Brainiac-5.
Returning Monday, April 16 at 8 p.m. on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as the Girl of Steel, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers and Jeremy Jordan as Winn Schott, with appearances by Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
