The upcoming fourth season of Supergirl looks to pit National City's Girl of Steel against the xenophobic Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer) and the DCTV series has just cast Liberty's father.

Xander Berkeley, who plays Gregory on AMC's The Walking Dead, has officially joined the cast of The CW series as Peter Lockwood, father of Witwer's Ben Lockwood who takes the costumed role of Agent Liberty promoting an open anti-extraterrestrial agenda.

Berkeley's new character is described as a middle-class factory worker who finds his professional livelihood seemingly threatened by the rise of alien populations in the United States. The elder Lockwood's fear and contempt of off-world arrivals clearly informs Agent Liberty's own xenophobic stance putting them on a collision course with the Kryptonian-born Kara Danvers.
