"Supergirl" Casts Red Tornado and T.O. Morrow in Dual Role

Iddo Goldberg has landed the role of Dr. T.O. Morrow, who creates the advanced android Red Tornado for the U.S. Army, on CBS' "Supergirl." According to ComicBook.com, Goldberg will play both the android and his creator.

Morrow's Red Tornado will gain sentience shortly after his creation and become a threat to National City, Kara's home. It is unclear in what way Goldberg's role will be split between both Morrow and Red Tornado, as Morrow is simply Red Tornado's creator in the comics. What's more, where Red Tornado goes on to join the Justice League, Morrow is a villain.

The show centers on Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), a Kryptonian stranded on Earth following the destruction of her home planet Krypton. Assuming the name Kara Danvers, she decides to come out of hiding at the age of 24 and really use her super abilities for good.

"Supergirl" arrives on CBS on October 26 at 8:30 p.m. EST. Developed by producers Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg, the series stars Benoist, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh.
