Supergirl: Durance's Alura Gets Her Own Comics-Inspired Suit in New Photo

Supergirl's Alura is taking a page out of the comics for her latest Kryptonian look. In a new photo from "Make It Reign," an upcoming episode, she swaps her sky blue dress for a burgundy-and-gold ensemble inspired by the comics.

In the photo, Alura sports a form-fitting burgundy top with a high collar and gold accents for the piping and belt. Per Kryptonian fashion, the top also features the House of El's crest on the chest. It is unclear at this time if the outfit comes with pants or a skirt, but it does have much in common with Supergirl's costume.

In the comics, Alura wears a similar outfit, albeit in a different color. Though her comics outfit has a white base, the show's version borrows a lot of the same design elements. For instance, the placement of the piping and crest are the same. Though The CW's Alura doesn't have a cape, the shoulders of her costume have gold accents that mimic the effect. Both costumes also have the high collar, long sleeves and a belt.
