Building up to the announcement of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's final character, fans are getting in their last-minute speculation as to which iconic character will appear in the game.As confirmed by the most recent Nintendo Direct livestream, the final character for the beloved fighting game Super Smash Ultimate will be revealed on Oct. 5. While waiting for the announcement, fans have taken to social media to not only share their speculations as to who the final character will be but also give thanks to Masahiro Sakurai, the game's creator. This final character marks the end of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate post-launch update plans and Sakurai has previously confirmed that this will be the final game in the franchise. Super Smash Bros. The game also features a selection of non-Nintendo characters, adding further flavor to the roster. Snake from Metal Gear Solid, SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog and Persona 5's Joker are all included in Ultimate amongst other long-standing guest characters.

Rumors have swirled for months surrounding the final addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Many fans speculate the last character will be from a different franchise, with Sora from Kingdom Hearts leading the pack. Even Sakurai himself stated that gamers who don't play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will want to watch the reveal event.
