In a little over a month, DCTV officially returns to The CW and a new promo released by the network showcases this fall's superhero television shows.

Declaring the upcoming 2018-2019 television season as "Super Season" the sizzle reel has the various heroes from the network's five DC Comics adaptations entering an abandoned subway station and cutting loose. The returning programs include Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Black Lightning.

While not technically part of the network's Arrowverse uniting most of the DCTV superhero shows, Black Lightning adapts the DC superhero of the same name and is executive produced by Greg Berlanti who similarly oversees the other comic book adaptations on the network.

Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl are expected to crossover this December in a three-part event that sees the heroes from the three series venture into Gotham City for the first time and face Batwoman (Ruby Rose). Legends of Tomorrow will not be included with the annual crossover this year citing logistical difficulties as well as differences in tone with the rest of the Arrowverse.

With plans for Batwoman to potentially be spun off into her own Arrowverse series underway, DCTV's programming slate on The CW is looking healthier than ever. Just be sure to keep bicycles away from Arrow's Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez).

DCTV returns to The CW this fall with The Flash leading the charge on Tuesday, October 9 with its Season 5 premiere at 8 PM ET/PT, followed by Season 2 of Black Lightning at 9 PM. Supergirl will follow the next week on Sunday, October 14 at 8 PM, with Arrow the next day on Monday, October 15 at 8 PM. Finally, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will return on Monday, October 22 at 9 PM.
