Mario and the gang are getting a whole new theme park dedicated to the world of video games.

Universal Studios Japan announced it is hosting the grand opening of its $580 million Nintendo theme park on Feb. 4, 2021. The park, known as Super Nintendo World, will be built on top of the original Universal Studios Japan and will feature rides, shops and walk-throughs based on Nintendo's most popular video games.

Universal Studios Japan has announced three experiences that will be included in the park's grand opening. The first is called "Mario Kart: Koopa's Challenge" and is expected to be a real-life version of Mario Kart. The ride brings to life iconic game courses so that fans can race to victory while challenging their opponents and battling with Koopa shells.

The second ride is called Yoshi's Adventure and will take riders on a journey through Yoshi's Island. The family-friendly ride will offer a great view of the Mushroom Kingdom while adventurers search for three mysterious eggs. Lastly, the third experience involves the use of power-up bands that will allow visitors to take on challenges and collect virtual coins and items. With the use of these bands, fans can play interactive games throughout the park, including a journey to help Peach recover the Golden Mushroom and a final boss battle against Bowser Jr.

In order to enter Super Nintendo World on Feb. 4, visitors will need to purchase an "Area Timed Entry Ticket" or "Area Timed Entry Ticket: Advance Booking" through the Universal Studios Japan app.
