As Nintendo closes out its 35th anniversary celebration of its flagship Super Mario franchise, the video game company has unveiled an enhanced remake of the acclaimed Super Mario 3D World.

A gameplay trailer shows Cat Mario navigating an obstacle course before teaming up with Baby Bowser, who provides support with the Magic Paintbrush he acquired in 2002's Super Mario Sunshine. The duo's adventure is interrupted by a giant, kaiju-sized Bowser breaking free from a stone shell, unleashing his fiery breath on Mario as the plumber ducks for cover.

Not to be outdone, Mario runs to a large bell power-up on the islands, allowing him to transform into a colossally sized Cat Mario to confront the titanic Bowser head-on for an epic rematch.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury was first announced by Nintendo this past September as part of the company's celebrations for its flagship video game franchise reaching its milestone 35th anniversary. The game is an enhanced remake of Super Mario 3D World, first released for the Wii U in 2013, allowing players to control Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad in four-player co-op action.

Developed and published by Nintendo, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury will be released on Feb. 12 for the Nintendo Switch.
