7. Skyscraper

While the poster for the film reached meme levels earlier this week, with many trying to figure out how Dwayne Johnson's character could possibly make that massive jump, the trailer delivered plenty of action and surprises. With the actor coming off of the box office success of Jumaji: Welcome to the Jungle, a film that is still in the top spot at the domestic box office, Johnson's popularity has never been higher.

Despite a fairly pedestrian plot, Skyscraper could go on to be the next San Andreas if this trailer is anything to go by -- a movie that embraces its insanity but still promises plenty of fun.

6. Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom

After the rather lackluster debut trailer for this hotly anticipated sequel, Universal opted to go a much darker route with the film's Super Bowl trailer and previewed plenty of new footage that is sure to leave fans eager for more.

Surprisingly, Jeff Goldblum was left out of this footage, though he did film a Jeep Wrangler commercial in character as Dr. Ian Malcolm. Luckily, the bits of action and stunning imagery Universal did release managed to get fans talking on social media, and much more positively than the first teaser. It seems clear that audiences are eager to return to Jurassic World at least one more time.

5. Westworld

HBO dropped the first official trailer for Season 2 of Westworld during the third quarter of the big game ahead of its April release. The footage is narrated by Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores Abernathy, who promises that the our world will be burned down in favor of a new one -- theirs.

The first trailer, which is a little over a minute long, is both visually striking and haunting as a cover of Kanye West’s Runaway plays in the background, moving from images of a beautiful lie to a much more chaotic world. While it's hard for a television series to truly stand out among all of the movie trailers over the course of the Super Bowl, Westworld manages to do just that.

4. Cloverfield Paradox

Rumors began swirling last week that Netflix was circling the latest Cloverfield film, suggesting that the streaming service had secured the rights during Sundance and had plans to debut it exclusively on its platform relatively soon.

Those rumors proved to be true during Sunday's game when, to everyone's surprise, the streaming service debuted the first bit of footage from the film before announcing it would be available to stream immediately following the game. Even if the trailer hadn't been exciting -- and it was -- Netflix's shocking release approach was enough to get fans amped for the film, making it one of the best teasers of the night.

3. Mission: Impossible - Fallout

Paramount released the first trailer for its latest Mission: Impossible installment, Fallout, starring Tom Cruise and a mustache-sporting Henry Cavill. It's a rather straight-forward trailer, one that sees Ethan Hunt being given a new mission, one he'll need to accept if he wants to avoid the one thing he's "always feared."

From there, the trailer dives right into the action that the franchise has become famous for, even showcasing the very stunt that led to Cruise breaking his ankle during production. While not the strongest trailer of the night, the action alone is enough to launch it into the top three.

2. Solo: A Stars Wars Story

After months of silence following the news that Ron Howard would come on board as director after previous directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord left the project, Disney has finally dropped the first footage from the latest Star Wars anthology film.

While only a 45-second teaser (the full trailer just debuted this morning), the footage not only brought us our first look at Alden Ehrenreich as the iconic character, but we also got glimpses of Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson), Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), and Qi'Ra (Emilia Clarke). The first full-length trailer for Solo: A Stars Wars Story is set to premiere on Good Morning America this morning, however, there's no denying the first teaser successfully eased many worries fans had only days ago.

1. Avengers: Infinity War

Many expected Marvel to secure a final television spot for the upcoming Black Panther film, however, the studio instead surprised fans with new footage from Avengers: Infinity War. And while the clip was only 30-seconds long, it held the attention of viewers with heart-pulsing action and footage of team members that had previously sat out the first trailer -- more specifically, Nebula, who is back with a vengeance. Also included in the trailer is wWhat appears to be our first look at Vision without the mind stone.

Surprisingly, though, unlike in previous years, a full-length trailer did not succeed the television spot, yet there's no denying Marvel delivered one of the biggest thrills of the night as they continued to tease the battle that's been looming since the very first Avengers back in 2012.

All in all, while the 52nd Super Bowl proved to be a plethora of goods for both film and television fans, the night went to Disney who ignited social media with both Solo: A Star Wars Story and Avengers: Infinity War.
