Jared Leto loves dropping hints and teases about his "Suicide Squad" role, and he's taken it one step further by alluding to one of the Joker's most iconic looks. In the Instagram video, Leto records his shadow as he strolls down a stretch of sand. That shadow, though, traces the outline of the wide-brimmed hat the Joker wore in the legendary Alan Moore and Brian Bolland story, "The Killing Joke."

This could just be Leto's way of getting fans to talk; there's no concrete evidence yet that "Suicide Squad" will pull elements -- or even that costume -- for it's story. For comparison, you can compare the video above to the panel from "Killing Joke" below.

"The Killing Joke" is also slated to receive an animated adaptation, due out in 2016. "Suicide Squad" opens on August 5, 2016.
