The DCEU returned with James Gunn's The Suicide Squad-- an action-packed ensemble film filled to the brim with some of DC Comics' most colorful supervillains, all kept on a leash by Amanda Waller. While they were all highly-skilled individuals, they varied wildly in terms of power.

Director James Gunn recently confirmed the most powerful member in a watch party, one that everyone who has seen the film would have probably guessed. Gunn stated, "Yeah, Polkadot Man is the most powerful, but I would take him he probably my second pick."

Polka-Dot Man, played by David Dastmalchian, had the ability to fire polka-dot-like projectiles with the aid of his gauntlets. They are able to melt down their target, succeeding in harming Starro where King Shark and Bloodsport couldn't. As Polka-Dot man explained to Bloodsport in the film, he acquired his powers as a child after being exposed to a virus from another dimension. It wasn't an accident, it was the result of his mother -- a S.T.A.R Labs scientist -- seeking to create superheroes through dangerous experimentation on her own children.

Though he was one of the only subjects to survive his mother's experiments, the ordeal left him deeply traumatized. Throughout The Suicide Squad, it was shown that Polka-Dot Man perceives his mother in everyone, including the giant Starro, which gives him the drive to kill. Oddly, it also lends itself to some of the film's more comedic moments.

Dastmalchian has previously discussed his connection to the character, describing Polka-Dot Man as the most ridiculous DC has to offer. However, the actor felt a deep personal connection to him, owing to a physical condition that Gunn was not aware of at the time. "I was teased and called nicknames as a kid, and as an adult, that made fun of the fact that I have these big, splotchy dots on my body," Dastmalchian previously explained. "When I was cast as Polka-Dot Man I came to finally embrace my polka-dots. I'm proud of them now, and I have kind of turned what used to be a really debilitating insecurity about them into something that I think makes me unique and makes me different."

Gunn was available to answer plenty of questions from audiences during the Suicide Squad watch party, confirming other details such as the DCEU movie's true villain and the apparent survival of one Suicide Squad character audiences might have though perished with some of team's more unlucky members.

James Gunn's The Suicide Squad is currently playing in theaters now.
