Suicide Squad Gets the Low-Budget Trailer You've Been Waiting For

CineFix's "Homemade Movies" makes a triumphant return with a shot-for-shot low-budget remake of one of the numerous "Suicide Squad" trailers.

Shooting in their garage, the cast and crew recreated the teaser using the typical blend of mix of performers, action figures, cardboard sets and props, and paper special effects. They also put to use an excellently made Harley Quinn costume, which will feature in one of CineFix’s “Make Your Own Costume” videos later in the month.

One of the highlights of the video is definitely the recreation of the scene with Harley Quinn in her cell. Using a standard Barbie doll as Harley, some cheap Power Rangers figurines as guards, and a bit of Slinky as barbed wire, they pull off a pretty effective rendering.

The team even went as far as to make a side-by-side comparison video with the original trailer. It’s made even better with the performance of "Bohemian Rhapsody," instruments and all.

Written and directed by David Ayer, "Suicide Squad" stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.
