The Suicide Squad began shooting at Atlanta's Pinewood Atlanta Studios then moved Panama, where filming has officially wrapped, according to director James Gunn.

"That’s a wrap on our time in Panama," Gunn posted on Instagram, along with a short video of himself in Panama. "The Suicide Squad isn’t quite done shooting but we’re approaching the finish line and we did just wrap some key cast members - Joaquin Cosio, Daniela Melchior, Joel Kinnaman, John Cena and Steve Agee."

Gunn went on the praise the cast of The Suicide Squad, saying, "Each one of them have defied expectations, gone above and beyond the call of duty, and touched my heart." He added, "I am grateful for all of them, as well as for the people of Colon, Panama and Panama City, Panama who helped to make our time here so special."

With filming mostly done, official details about The Suicide Squad may finally release soon, though Gunn and the rest of The Suicide Squad crew have been carefully keeping the film's plot under wraps. Most of the official characters set to appear in the film haven't even been revealed.

After The Suicide Squad, James Gunn will return to direct the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel Studios.
