"Suicide Squad" continues to perform well at the box office both domestically and overseas. Not only did the film break "Guardians of the Galaxy's" record for best opening weekend in August, but it also beat "Deadpool" by a very narrow opening weekend margin. Currently "Suicide Squad's" opening weekend sits at $133 million.

While critics may have expected the film to see a decrease in ticket sales after the weekend concluded, both domestic and global markets show the film doing well. According to Box Office Mojo, "Suicide Squad's" six-day domestic total -- which covers Thursday, August 4 through Tuesday, August 9 -- is at $161 million.

"Suicide Squad's" foreign ticket sales are also doing well, with Box Office Mojo reporting $133 million in earnings overseas. Deadline points out that three of "Suicide Squad's" best-performing markets are the UK, Brazil, and Russia. The film has earned in $19.7 million in the UK, $14.9 million in Brazil, and $14.2 million in Russia, bringing it's total global earnings to $294 million after only six days. With an opening week like that, will "Suicide Squad" get close to "Batman v Superman's" global total of $872 million?
