We've known for a while now that an extended cut of "Suicide Squad" is heading for a December release on DVD/Blu-ray. However, we now know this version will run for 134 minutes – 11 minutes longer than the theatrical release.

The release details emerged through an image of the back cover of the movie's Blu-ray packaging posted on the DC Cinematic reddit page.

The scan also reveals a list of the special features, which include "Task Force X," covering the comics history of DCs dysfunctional super-team; "Squad Strength and Skills," focusing on the how the cast "whip[ped] themselves into shape"; a short covering the Joker and Harley as "The 'It' Couple of the Underworld"; a gag reel; and "Chasing the Real," a behind-the-scenes mini featurette in which writer/director David Ayer "reveals [his] techniques for creating an authentic surreal world."

Previously, actor Jared Leto claimed "there’s probably enough footage in this film for a Joker movie," which sounds like a lot more than the 11 minutes of extra scenes in this "extended" edition. However, it's also possible we might see some more of this additional Joker material in the various extras. The Joker/Harley featurette would be an obvious home for it, while the gag reel might be a good place to detail the gruesome gifts Leto reportedly gave to his co-stars.

Arriving Nov. 15 on Digital HD and Dec. 13 on Blu-ray, "Suicide Squad" stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.
