Actor David Dastmalchian turned his new cat into The Suicide Squad's Polka-Dot Man.

Dastmalchian revealed both the new family member and the costume in an Instagram post. The cat, named Bubblegum, is shown wearing a polka-dot-adorned suit with a helmet and goggles. "With the help of my [The Suicide Squad] family [and] some generous animal lovers in Panama, I was able to rescue Bubblegum (full name: Abner Bubblegum Polka Dot Cat). She has been a blessing to our family [and] was instrumental in helping us through the pandemic," said Dastmalchian.

Judianna Makovsky, The Suicide Squad's costume designer, created Bubblegum's special outfit. The award-winning Makovsky has contributed her talents to many popular films, including Avengers: Endgame and The Hunger Games. Fans can catch a sneak peek of her work on The Suicide Squad through new stills from the film. The photos feature the human Polka-Dot Man, as well as John Cena's Peacemaker and Idris Elba's Bloodsport.

The highly anticipated film will be released in August, and some of the cast members are already praising the finished product. Joel Kinnaman, who plays Rick Flag, said "I'm of course hopelessly biased, but I found it to be one of the most entertaining films I've ever seen." Kinnaman has been a part of the DC Extended Universe since the original Suicide Squad film, released in 2016.

Written and directed by James Gunn, The Suicide Squad stars Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Michael Rooker as Savant, Flula Borg as Javelin, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher 2, Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Mayling NG as Mongal, Peter Capaldi as The Thinker, Alice Braga as Solsoria, Sylvester Stallone as King Shark, Pete Davidson as Blackguard, Nathan Fillion as TDK, Sean Gunn as Weasel, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, John Cena as Peacemaker and Steve Agee, Taika Waititi and Storm Reid.
