SPOILER WARNING: the following article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for :"Suicide Squad," arriving in theaters August 5.

While we've known for a while now that Harley Quinn's classic jester outfit was, in fact, created for director David Ayers' "Suicide Squad" film, fans didn't expect to get a chance to see the iconic suit before the movie lands in theaters.

About that...

Following the debut of over three minutes of footage in the Comic-Con International sizzle reel presentation, Warner Bros. has released a compilation of B-roll footage from the anticipated film. And, as often happens when watching B-roll clips, some spoilers are found among the scenes. In this case, we get to see Harley's original costume in not one, but two scenes.

First, we see the outfit on a mannequin, off to the side of Jared Leto's Joker. The scene takes place in what fans have come to believe is the villain's trophy room, which would make sense given his apparent displaying of Harley's outfit as memorabilia.

Then, we see Margot Robbie's Harley getting dressed for her first mission as a member of the titular Squad. Before she dons the ensemble we've become accustomed to, Harley picks up her old outfit, recalls some fond memories, and tosses it aside in favor of a pair of red and blue short-shorts.

"They get given their mission outfits out of Belle Reve en route to this mission they are on," "Suicide Squad" costume designer Kate Hawley told reporters during a set visit. "There's a delightful scene where they're all putting on their 'murderous suits,' as they call them, because when they put them on, people die. And Harley's sitting there and you'll see a moment where she's putting on all her corsets, so we quote every comic variation of her. It's her dress-up box. And I feel sure that jester suit is going to come into it because none of us can leave it alone."

Opening Aug. 5, "Suicide Squad" also stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.
