The latest issue of Total Film magazine debuts seven new images from Warner Bros.' "Suicide Squad," including shots of Task Force X assembled, and another of Jared Leto's Joker in a straight jacket.

They also deliver a photo of director David Ayer on set with Will Smith and Joel Kinnaman.

More interesting still is that, according to Batman-News, the article sheds a little light on the creatures glimpsed in the movie's trailers: They're a force known as the Eyes of the Adversary.

"Let's just say, when they're called in to do this mission by Amanda [Waller], these are one of the things they encounter," producer Charles Roven explained. "They don't know how they got here, but they're weird and dangerous and yet they're wearing military uniforms."

Arriving in theaters on Aug. 5, "Suicide Squad" also stars Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.
