It's never a bad thing when you can get your hands on ancient weaponry from a far-off civilization several thousand galaxies away. Well, that's not entirely true — there's a whole lot of damage you could cause with such a weapon — which is why Propworx is offering you replicas of these weapons, not the actual thing. This week, you can bid on the chance to win an Aurora Stunner as seen in the second season of Stargate Atlantis. As always, read on for a more detailed description of the item and information on how to bid, courtesy of Propworx’s David Read!
But before you do, here's a public service announcement: if you're in the Las Vegas area this weekend, you could attend The Propworx Star Trek Prop and Costume Auction! Click here for the full press release from Propworx.
And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming!
LAST CALL: AURORA STUNNER
David Read: Your last chance to own your very own Ancient stunner from the warship Aurora has arrived!
This cool prop was featured in only one episode of Stargate Atlantis, in Season Two's "Aurora." With Atlantis's long range sensors functioning again, the expedition detects an Ancient warship adrift in deep space. The Daedalus is sent with Sheppard's team to investigate, where they learn the officers and crew are only surviving within an artificial construct, their brains maintained active by computer.
This production made pistol features an opaque resin chamber which originally lit with an on/off switch. The functionality of this particular unit has not been verified. The chamber is edged with silver trim and features a resin bronze base and top. The pistol handle is made of soft foam rubber which has been painted silver with a faux trigger and Ancient writing on each side which translates to "Made in China".
