The central message of the Harry Potter series is deceptively simple — the power of love will always win out over the love of power. Lily Potter's limitless love for her son saved Harry several times in his battles against Lord Voldemort. Similarly, Harry's love for his friends saved practically everyone at the Battle of Hogwarts.

Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown in the Half Blood Prince

During the Golden Trio's sixth year at Hogwarts, Lavender Brown threw herself into Ron Weasley's arms after he won an important Quidditch match. Ron returned the kiss and the whole common room (except Hermione) cheered for the couple.

Although Ron and Lavender displayed their affection for one another very publicly, many fans were admittedly pleased that their relationship came with an expiration date. Lavender decides to break up with Ron after hearing him mumble Hermione's name in the hospital wing. First loves don't always survive the test of time.

It's rather easy to see where they would find similarities and common interests to begin their relationship. Although it is never officially stated if Hagrid and Madame Maxime were romantically involved, the two of them were incredibly close friends throughout the series and fierce allies throughout the Second Wizarding War.

7 Viktor Krum Invited Hermione Granger To The Yule Ball

Hermione Granger and Viktor Krum attend the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Hermione Granger is smart, hardworking, and extremely well-prepared. She usually has her nose buried in a book because she prioritizes her magical education over social mingling. However, this changed slightly when Viktor Krum came to Hogwarts during her fourth year.

The world-renowned Quidditch player couldn't keep his eyes off of Hermione, the only girl who didn't seem to pay any attention to him. Hermione eventually realized the depth he had to him, explaining why she accepts his proposal to the Yule Ball. While these two became devoted pen pals for years, their relationship never progressed any further than the Yule Ball.

The Weasleys are a large family of talented witches and wizards, all thanks to Molly and Arthur. They have been through it all and still love one another like they're teenagers.
