Hawkeye has been all around the Marvel Universe. Starting his career as a villain fighting Iron Man at the behest of Black Widow, he'd eventually join the Avengers and become one of Marvel's greatest heroes. While some underestimate him because of his dependence on one of the humanity's oldest weapons, Hawkeye is a force to be reckoned with.

10 Hawkeye Took Down Plenty Of Superpowered Skrulls During Secret Invasion
Secret Invasion saw the Skrulls at their most powerful. They'd finally mastered the art of giving themselves superpowers and attacked the Earth, posing as heroes and using their powers to conquer the planet. Hawkeye was going by Ronin at the time. While trapped in the Savage Land with the rest Avengers for most of the conflict, he more than made up for it when he finally joined the battle. Using a bow and arrow purloined from a Skrull Hawkeye, he killed many superpowered Skrulls. Hawkeye is an expert in big battles and used that to his advantage.
9 Count Nefaria Challenged Hawkeye And The Avengers Like Few Others
The Maggia are the superpowered mafia of the Marvel Universe. The various families are rather strong, but the most formidable was the Nefaria family – largely thanks to Count Nefaria. Nefaria was powered by ionic energy, giving him a wide variety of powers that made him able to take on the Avengers on his own.
Hawkeye battled Nefaria alongside the Avengers many times. While he and the team were battered pretty badly in those battle, they were always able to pull out the win. Hawkeye couldn't match Nefaria alone, but he knew when to pick his spots and get his licks in.

Kang the Conqueror's entire life is dedicated to beating the Avengers. He came back to the past to prove he was better than them and battled the team in many different guises. Kang has a grudging respect for the Avengers; he heard of their exploits for years and knows just what they are capable of. Hawkeye may not be the most powerful Avenger, but Kang knows better than to underestimate him.
He learned this to his detriment when he transported Hawkeye and several Avengers to the Old West. Hawkeye met his cowboy heroes and they helped him beat Kang. Beyond that, Hawkeye has helped battle the Conqueror many times and always made a difference.

Doctor Doom is best known for fighting the Fantastic Four, but he's also fought just about every major hero or group in the Marvel Universe. His armor is some of the most formidable on the planet and he's battled the Avengers many times.
The more powerful the foe, the harder it is for Hawkeye to make in the difference in battle. That doesn't stop him from trying, and while Doom doesn't respect Hawkeye, he knows better than to mess around with him. He doesn't have eye armor and Hawkeye is an amazing shot.
5 Hawkeye Has Battled The Void More Than Once
The Sentry is one of the most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe. The problem is that his dark side, the Void, is just as formidable and has no morals whatsoever. The Void has attacked the Marvel Universe more than once and Hawkeye has been there to help. The Void is a grave challenge that takes all heads on deck to beat. Hawkeye can't make a lot of difference against the Void, but he always tries and is always there when the heroes win.
4 Scarlet Witch Has Fought Hawkeye Many Times
Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful Avengers. Her issues have caused her to fight the team many times. She and Hawkeye have a complicated relationship as they joined the Avengers together and worked with each other for a long time. Unfortunately, Scarlet Witch was responsible for Hawkeye's death. She may have resurrected him, but it took time for their relationship to heal. Hawkeye has been in many battles against Scarlet Witch, both on the Avengers and the Avengers West Coast. The team has won all of those battles and Hawkeye was there for the end of all of them but one.
3 Hawkeye And The Avengers Triumphed Over Korvac
Of all the godlike villains the Avengers have faced, Korvac is one of the few to utterly dominate the team. He slaughtered the Avengers and the 30th century Guardians of the Galaxy, completely outclassing them both. Korvac's power is nothing short of amazing.
Hawkeye did his best, but Korvac even made short work of Thor. The Avengers' victory against Korvac had little to do with their power or skill, as he resurrected them instead of leaving them to die. This gave the Avengers an opportunity to defeat the villain, but Hawkeye has never forgotten how easily he was destroyed by Korvac.
2 Hawkeye Knows How To Fight Ultron
Ultron is one of the Avengers' greatest foes. His hatred of humanity comes from his treatment at the hands of Hank Pym. This motivated his hatred of all biological life and has caused a personal feud with the Avengers that has motivated both sides for so long. Hawkeye is just a guy with a bow and arrow against an adamantium murder bot, but that's never stopped him from jumping into the fight. Hawkeye has fought Ultron a lot, just like any long term Avenger. He's helped in battles against Ultron so many times and has survived each one, which is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Galactus is one of the most powerful beings in the universe. He's attacked the Earth many times, but the heroes have been able to get him to leave before feeding on the planet. However, they only truly defeated him once and Hawkeye was a part of that. At his weakest, Galactus attacked the Earth and the heroes of the New York City fought against him.
Between the Fantastic Four, Avengers, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange, the teams were able to beat him, actually knocking him out. Few beings in history have ever done to Galactus what these heroes did to him and Hawkeye was a part of that historic battle.
