With so many champion options, it's hard for new players to decide on which champions to play and which ones to unlock as they progress through the game. All champions have something special to offer on League of Legends: Wild Rift, but ultimately, some are far stronger than others.

10 Jinx Can Get Into A Frenzy

Jinx from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

An obvious choice for Arcane fans, Jinx isn't only a compelling character with fun catchphrases, she's also a particularly strong champion. She specializes in the dragon lane, focusing on long-range attack damage to gradually defeat the opposing team.

Despite Jinx's specialties, players shouldn't go in guns-blazing early in the game. It's best to stay back and upgrade Jinx's abilities, so she can really come into her own later in the game. Every time Jinx gets a takedown, her attack speed increases, helping to build momentum and ultimately, get more kills.

9 Rakan Protects His Teammates

Rakan from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

Unlike Jinx, Rakan is a support champion. He's best used for crowd control and escaping heavy conflict with his high mobility. Additionally, Rakan's upgraded abilities are perfectly designed for protecting damaged teammates when they need it the most. For this reason, gamers who play as Rakan should prioritize purchasing tank and support items.

Later on in the game when things are getting particularly heated, Rakan's Ultimate has the ability to charm the entire enemy team to further reinforce attack champions' efforts, like Xayah for instance.

8 Vi Packs A Solid Punch

Vi from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

This fighter jungler, Jinx's older sister, is effective throughout a Wild Rift match. These kinds of champions flourish by farming the jungles of the map in the early game to level up and collect items. Later on, they jump into the action and play a crucial role in overthrowing the enemy.

As Vi, players should attempt to get to level 5 as rapidly as they possibly can to obtain Vi's Ultimate: Assault and Battery. This ability packs a punch, allowing Vi to lock down on the main target in the opposing team to cause a whole lot of damage.

7 Garen Is A Highly Reliable Champion

Garen from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

Garen is widely considered one of the most reliable and strongest champions in League of Legends: Wild Rift. Garen possesses an effective ability allowing him to move through crowds and eliminate dangerous enemies within th other team. This ability is made possible because he's both high damage and tanky.

Garen's 2nd Ability reduces his damage allowing him gain resistance during close-quarter fights. Positioning himself as a vital cog in the Wild Rift machine, Garen only increases in strength as the game progresses.

If players want to recreate what they've seen in Arcane, they'll be happy to learn that Jayce's Melee form's weapon is his iconic Mercury Hammer. Due to this dual form, Jayce is the definition of overpowered, providing him with a total of 6 abilities. Consequently, this can make Jayce a bit of a lane bully.

5 Seraphine Is A Charming Healer

Seraphine from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

This starry-eyed songstress is an enchanted support champion. Seraphine is best used to shield and heal team members in the support lane, keeping important attack champions alive to eventually overthrow the enemy team. Seraphine's Ultimate is a great all-rounder move — dealing damage, while charming and slowing nearby enemies.

However, players should be careful. Seraphine doesn't have a lot of health, which can result in early game deaths if players are just starting out. Additionally, Seraphine can be played in mid-lane too, which requires players to prioritize more of a damage build as opposed to just a support one.

4 Thresh Harvests The Souls Of The Dead

Thresh from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

This eerie champion is a tank support character, making Thresh particularly strong and helpful to the team early on in a Wild Rift match. This is because of Thresh's crowd control and zoning abilities, allowing him to take the lead.

That's not to say Thresh can't also hang back, as his Flay ability allows him to pull enemies towards him and push them back when his health gets low. Moreover, his Damnation ability just so happens to be passive, allowing him to harvest souls when they die, increasing his armor and ability power throughout the match.

3 Evelynn Assassinates To Obtain Victory

Evelynn from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

Femme fatale Evelynn is another jungler champion, but an assassin one. With invisibility, Evelynn can easily stealth through the jungle to assassinate enemy champions and quickly level up to unlock stronger abilities and supportive items.

One downside to Evelynn is that her design isn't necessarily great for teamwork. However, she can heavily support a team's chance of obtaining victory. Players who choose Evelynn should play cautiously, steering clear of enemies due to avoid the risk of exposing themselves to setbacks.

2 Kha'Zix Is An Unseen Threat

Kha'zix from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

Kha'Zix is a praying mantis-like creature who's yet another assassin jungler champion. Like Evelynn, Kha'Zix can sneak up on unsuspecting enemies to kill them off swiftly with his Unseen Threat ability.

Players should utilize Kha'Zix's Void Spike ability to ensure they're sufficiently healed in the early game, where The Voidreaver is most vulnerable. To ensure Kha'Zix's overall strength, players should focus on evolving his Taste Their Fear and Leap abilities, which allows this champion to deal more damage from afar and shoot 3 spikes at one time.

1 Varus Is A Rapid Fire Archer

Varus from League Of Legends: Wild Rift

This archer champion is a duo or dragon lane fighter, which means he's exceptional when paired with another teammate for the majority of the Wild Rift match. His attack damage is a melting pot of auto-attacks and magic, which allows him to utilize crowd control and support the wider team.

Due to his early game short-range, Varus players should focus on upgrading his abilities and obtaining easy kills until he's reached a sufficient level. As the game progresses, his attack speed becomes incredibly rapid — especially within his powerful Piercing Arrow ability.
