26 years after the franchise's latest installment, the classic SEGA franchise Streets of Rage is finally returning to home consoles with Streets of Rage 4.

A new gameplay trailer for the title showcases the game's fifth and final expected playable character at launch, Floyd Iraia. Fitted with hulking cybernetic arms, the bruiser has the best reach of any of the fighters, though he moves and recovers noticeably slower than his counterparts.

The trailer also confirms the upcoming video game will feature both two-player online and four-player offline cooperative play, allowing players to engage in the mayhem with friends as they revisit the brawler franchise, complete with hand-drawn character sprites and '90s-inspired original soundtrack.

Launched for the SEGA Genesis/Mega-Drive in 1991, Streets of Rage proved a huge hit with gamers, leading to direct sequels in 1992 and 1994. Initially following crimefighters Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding, the playable cast has expanded over the years, though Axel and Blaze are expected to return in the fourth installment.
