Netflix released the final trailer for Season 4, Volume 1 of Stranger Things.

Among other things, the trailer introduces the Hellfire Club -- an X-Men nod Stranger Things teased for Season 4 all the way back in November 2019. In this case, it's the name of the kids' Dungeons & Dragons team, led by Dustin, who drops a Star Wars reference while rolling the 20-sided die.

Season 4 of Stranger Things marks a first for the Netflix series in that it's being broken up into two volumes, the first of which consists of seven episodes and the second of which contains two. Early reviews have been largely positive, and CBR's own review of Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 1 declares, "There's no sense of bloat to Stranger Things Season 4, despite the supercharged episodes. Instead, everything in Hawkins seems to be going exactly the way it's supposed to -- which, in Hawkins' case, means a little chaos and a group of kids banding together to save the world one more time."

Season 4 is the penultimate season of Stranger Things, as co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer announced in February that the show would end with Season 5. "Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things," co-creators they shared. "At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but -- as you'll soon see for yourselves -- we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last. There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes. But first we hope that you stay with us as we finish this tale of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friends, of a broken police chief and a ferocious mom, of a small town called Hawkins and an alternate dimension known only as the Upside Down. As always, we are grateful for your patience and support."
