Stranger Things has mainly focused on the kids up until now, but Season 4 will take a closer look at Chief of Police Jim Hopper.

The first Season 4 teaser trailer showed the world that Hopper is still alive. Now, actor David Harbour revealed that the character's fans will get to see a lot more of him in the upcoming season. "And one of the great things that you can see with Hopper is that he was a protector, he's a man of justice [and] he now has become a prisoner," Harbour told People. "He's trapped and he's isolated."

"And we get to see an entirely other color of him that has been hinted at," Harbour added. "...This season is my favorite because he really is going to show you some new colors and what he's really made up of."

According to the actor, Stranger Things creators, The Duffer Brothers have been "very responsive to the fan response" and are taking the script a step forward in the upcoming season. Therefore, fans will "see a lot of your favorite characters doing the thing that you love them for...but you'll also see them twist it and turn it into other colors and other flavors."

At the end of Season 3, Hopper sacrificed his life to shut down the Upside Down. However, the finale's mid-credit scene showed a Russian prison where an unknown American was being held. Then, earlier this year, Netflix released a teaser trailer that lined up with what Harbour revealed about his character. In the video, the Chief of Police is shown slaving away at a snowy workcamp, which would directly relate to Harbour's description of Hopper as a man of justice that has become a prisoner.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cary Elwes, Jake Busey, Maya Thurman-Hawke and Levon Thurman-Hawke. Season 4 has yet to receive a release date.
