Fans of Netflix's Stranger Things can now read the script for a popular scene between Eddie Munson and Steve Harrington from Season 4.

After Stranger Things writers warned fans of being scammed by fake scripts from the show, they agreed to periodically release scenes to the public, according to Collider. The recently shared pages feature a scene from Season 4, Episode 7, "The Massacre at Hawkins Lab," in which Steve thanks Eddie for saving him from the dreaded Demobats.

Enter Eddie Munson

Steve and Eddie were both fan favorites in Season 4 of Stranger Things. But actor Joseph Quinn, who plays Eddie, has admitted that he worried viewers wouldn't take to his new character at first. "I think I was a little daunted joining and kind of worried that when you're a new cog in the machine, you don't want to be the thing that kind of brings it to its knees and ruins everything," he explained, adding "I was very relieved that people were so gracious and welcoming to Eddie. It's a lovely feeling."

Eddie was so popular, in fact, that there is currently a petition floating around to bring him back for Season 5. The Change.org petition has the intent to gather 50,000 signatures to "bring back fan favourite Eddie Munson." It notes that "The Duffer Brothers have unfairly killed him of and many other fans and I think he deserves to be brought back and not just as a flashback." It currently has over 85,000 signatures.

Quinn also hopes to be brought back for the show's fifth season. In an interview, the actor jokingly said, "I'll be furious if they don't bring me back," adding "I'd love to, if they'll have me." Casting details have not yet been revealed for the new season.

It may not be long until fans can see for themselves if Eddie will return to Stranger Things, though, as the Season 5 writer's room is currently in full swing. And while there isn't much information on what the new season will entail, it is unlikely that there will be new characters added. Stranger Things co-creator Matt Duffer recently explained, "We're doing our best to resist [adding new characters] for Season 5. We're trying not to do that so we can focus on the OG characters."

There is no official release date for Season 5 of Stranger Things just yet, but Seasons 1 through 4 are currently available to stream on Netflix.
