Stranger Things released a hidden teaser for the second volume of Season 4.

Volume 1 of Stranger Things Season 4 hit Netflix on May 27, consisting of seven episodes available for fans to binge with only two episodes saved for Volume 2. After viewers finish the seventh episode, "Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab," and witness all the episode's major revelations, they are treated to a teaser for Volume 2. Without going too far into details to avoid spoilers, the 30-second teaser shows more snippets of the Upside Down, what else the Soviet Union brought back from Hawkins, Indiana and a possible final battle with the series' new villain, Vecna.

Season 4 arrives nearly four years after Season 3 released on July 4, 2019. Stranger Things' fourth season picks up months after the Battle of Starcourt, where Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) died, Jim Hopper (David Harbour) was seemingly killed and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) lost her powers as a result of fighting the Mind Flayer, a being from the Upside Down that serves as the main antagonist of Seasons 2 and 3.

As noted by Harbour back during a New York Comic Con 2021 panel, Season 4 explores a few main story arcs. Hopper is actually alive and being held in a Russian prison, Eleven is struggling without her powers while living with the Byers family in California, and their friends are investigating new mysteries in Hawkins that involve a new locale, the Creel House, and how it may connect to the Upside Down. The series' fourth season tapped horror icon Robert Englund to portray Victor Creel, the former owner of the Creel House who is in a psychiatric hospital for a murder committed in the 1950s.

Brown promised that Stranger Things Season 4 would deliver "lots of answers" as well as crying and laughing for viewers. If fans have binged all seven available episodes in Volume 1, they have already received many answers about Eleven, the Hawkins National Laboratory and more. Watching all the episodes available as of writing likely took up the Friday debut for some, being that most of Season 4's episodes run around 75 minutes each, which is longer than the majority of episodes in previous seasons.

The first three seasons and all episodes in Volume 1 of Stranger Things Season 4 are available to stream on Netflix. The final two episodes in Volume 2 release on July 1, 2022.
