Stranger Things Season 3 Photos Offer New Looks at Hawkins' Heroes

After the release of the first real Stranger Things Season 3 trailer last week, anticipation for the next season of the smash hit Netflix series is at a fever pitch. Now, a new round of pictures is offering up a new look at the unlikely young heroes from Hawkins, Indiana as they grow into their teenage years.

Set in the summer of 1985, all the kids are back: Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Millie Bobby Brown (the psychic Eleven), Noah Schnapp (Will), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin). They re-assemble to fight a new uglier threat emerging from the Upside Down.

Stranger Things Season 3 Cast

While the above shot shows the outdoors scene that was featured in the trailer for the upcoming season, the pictures are relatively light on new overall details.

However, they still give us a new look at the kids as they begin to embrace the trends of the mid-1980s.

Stranger Things Season 3 Thirteen and friends

While they don't appear in these pictures, the show's adults, Winona Ryder and Hellboy star David Harbour, return as Joyce Byers and Sheriff Jim Hopper. A few new adult cast members will be along for the ride with them this season too.

Following in the vane of Matthew Modine and Paul Reiser in the show's previous seasons, Cary Elwes will take on the role of Mayor Kline and Jake Busey  will play a character named Bruce.

The show's  supporting cast of teens and young adults will also grow Maya Thurman-Hawke as new character Robin and Francesca Reale as a lifeguard at the center of this season's mystery. She and Reale join the returning stars Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, and Red Ranger Dacre Montgomery. Actress Priah Ferguson, who portrays Erica, Lucas's sister, is coming back as a regular. This time she won't be sitting on the sidelines and brings a gang of friends of her own.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cary Elwes, Jake Busey and Maya Thurman-Hawke. Season 3 will debut on Netflix on July 4.
