While the premiere of Stranger Things Season 3 is still months away, a new comic book prequel miniseries from Dark Horse Comics is coming in the interim to help fans with the wait.

In May, Stranger Things: Six reveals another previously unseen test subject in the top-secret Hawkins laboratory under the supervision of Doctor Martin Brenner, portrayed by Matthew Modine in popular Netflix series. The four-issue miniseries is written by Jody Houser, who wrote the original Dark Horse Stranger Things miniseries that ended last month, and illustrated by Edgar Salazar (Red Sonja).

Taking on the name Francine, the prequel's titular character has the power of precognition in contrast to Eleven's powerful telekinetic abilities and Kali's power to create illusions as seen in Season 2.

After suffering a lifetime of horrific experiments overseen by Brenner in the Hawkins facility, the sixth test subject uses her powers to see a potential future where she can escape to live a better a life. It is unknown if the character will make an appearance in the upcoming third season of Stranger Things at this time.
