Netflix has released six new high-resolution stills from the upcoming second season of the horror drama “Stranger Things.” The new images show scenes familiar to anyone who caught the show’s Super Bowl spot—Dustin, Lucas, Will and Mike trick-or-treating as the Ghostbusters—and some new, but notable, reunions.

Among those reunions is Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) in a car together and seemingly staring down something horrendous behind them. At the end of the first season, Nancy was dating occasional bully Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) and Jonathan had just got a new camera, so seeing the two together after the traumatic events of the season finale is something of a surprise.

Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) is just as protective as ever, grasping Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) by the shoulders as a horrified Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) and newcomer Max (Sadie Sink) look on. The last time viewers saw Will, he had been liberated from the Upside-Down but caught a strange affliction in the process, evident when he coughed up an otherworldly worm into a sink.

Will isn’t hiding anymore in season two, though. One of the photos shows the Demogorgon victim returning to Hawkins Middle School, awash in a sea of similarly returning students.

Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) also makes his return in the new slew of photos, reuniting with the thing he probably wants to see least of: darkness. The photo shows Hopper in the woods, pointing a flashlight at something in the distance. At the end of the first season, Hopper was approached by a group of suits while leaving a hospital and is then seen leaving Eggo waffles in a box in the woods. Theories have swirled about who Hopper is leaving food for, but the seemingly deceased Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is nowhere to be found in the photos.

Finally, in a highly relatable photo, the crew of four are shown standing outside Hawkins Middle School, seemingly flabbergasted that they are the only ones who have shown up to class dressed in Halloween costumes. That’s a reasonable source of confusion, considering the boys have some very elaborately designed costumes and accompanying proton packs.

Returning to the Netflix streaming service for its second season on October 31, “Stranger Things” is a production of 21 Laps Entertainment, was created by Matt and Ross Duffer and stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton.
