Actor Millie Bobby Brown revealed that she almost quit acting before landing her breakout role of Eleven in Netflix's Stranger ThingsThe actor failed to snag a part on HBO's Game of Thrones, which caused Brown to question whether or not she had a future in acting.

Brown discussed how rejection in the film and television industry was discouraging for her while being a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "You get a lot of no's before you get a yes," Brown said. "I was auditioning for commercials, for anything really. I then auditioned for Game of Thrones and I got a 'no' for that and then that was when I was like, 'Oh, this is really difficult.' And I guess I really wanted that role," she added, without mentioning which role she had hoped to land on the fantastical epic.

"So one of my last kind of goes at this call was this Netflix show called Montauk. I auditioned and like two months later they were like we'd to Skype with you... And the rest is history and we renamed the show Stranger Things." Brown added that being cast on Stranger Things was "definitely what gave [her] that hope of doing it all again."
